Problemas com seção e categoria

Estou com um problema na administração do meu site em joomla... a alguns dias atrás tive alguns problemas com invasões, durante esse tempo fiz a limpeza do FTP, incluindo a restauração de backup ...

Consegui conter os ataques porém agora estou com outro problema, não sei se foi por causa da restauração ... mas quando vou criar um novo artigo, eu escolho a seção Notícias por exemplo, só que por algum motivo as categorias cadastradas em notícias não aparecem...As únicas opções que são exibidas em categoria são: Sem categoria e Selecione a Categoria...
