Transfer the old Diablo 2 character to Diablo 2 resurrection
The good news is that the original Diablo 2 players can somehow transfer their characters to Diablo 2 Resurrected. But before you know, you need to know something and the rules you need to follow.
If you play games on your PC, you can only transfer the old Diablo 2 character to Diablo 2 Resurrected. In addition, you cannot bring old roles online. They must only keep offline characters. This means that you cannot use Diablo 2's cross process to transfer your role to the console. Those who want to move the level 99 necromancer from the old PC to the ps5 or Nintendo switch in the early 2000s are unlucky. Those who have Diablo 2 Resurrected on the PC can import their characters and give them new life through updated graphics, but they need to play the game alone.
This may disappoint some players, but it is to prevent hackers from downloading characters from the Internet and publishing them in an updated version of the game.
Therefore, if you are a PC player and don't mind challenging the hell Legion alone, here's how to transfer the old Diablo 2 character to Diablo 2 Resurrected:
1. If your old Diablo 2 character is stored on the hard drive, move the file back to the PC you are currently playing Diablo 2 Resurrected.
2. If you have installed the original Diablo 2, please go to the local disk (C:) > User > (player user name) > saved game.
3. You will see a list of files with. DS characters after the name. Copy the file you want or move it to the desktop.
4. From here, enter your Diablo 2 resurrected folder and paste / move the file into your character folder. This process is almost the same as that of the original Diablo 2.
5. Once the old character is pasted / transferred to this folder, it should now appear in Diablo 2 Resurrected. Go to your offline roles to select them.
To do this, you need to create an existing character in the Diablo 2 Resurrected folder. If not, the game has not created a folder and cannot be transferred.
The character will carry all items (including high-value legendary items and
D2R Runes
), skills and collections. They will play as in the original game. If you like, you can even visit Akara to redistribute your skills and statistics.
Unfortunately, the old characters cannot be transferred to the console version of the game. But the reason why Blizzard took them offline is understandable. No one wants to compete with unfair levels and roles attacked by hackers, especially when there are enough problems in the game.
