Do ads affect decisions?

Have in-game or external ads ever convinced you to download or avoid a particular online game, and how much weight do you give them?

Sometimes ads catch my attention, especially if they’re creative or well-made, but I usually do more research before deciding. I’ve learned that ads don’t always reflect the real gameplay, so I take them with a grain of salt.
